Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Happy Tails Pet Care services. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Service Agreement
Welcome to Happy Tails Pet Care, a professional pet care service operated by Lorena Iglesias in Klein, Texas. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including dog walking, drop-in visits, day sitting, pet transport, and related pet care offerings.
By scheduling, booking, or otherwise engaging our services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
Service Area: Happy Tails Pet Care operates from Klein/Spring, TX and serves surrounding communities including Champions Forest, Cypress, Tomball, and The Woodlands. Service availability and pricing may vary by distance zone.
2. Booking & Payment Policy
All bookings require immediate payment at the time of scheduling. Your selected time slot is reserved exclusively for your pet and prevents other customers from booking that time.
Payment at Time of Booking
Payment is processed via Stripe at the time of booking. We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Your time slot is not confirmed until payment is complete.
What You Pay
Your total includes the base service fee plus any applicable distance surcharge based on your zone. Account credits (if available) are automatically applied as a discount at checkout.
No Refunds
Happy Tails Pet Care does not issue cash refunds under any circumstances. Eligible cancellations receive account credits only (see Section 3).
3. Cancellation & Credit Policy
We understand plans change. Our cancellation policy is based on how much notice you provide:
24+ Hours Before Appointment — Full Credit
Cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment and receive a full account credit equal to the total amount paid (service fee + zone surcharge). This credit is applied to your Happy Tails account for future use.
Less Than 24 Hours Before — No Credit
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment forfeit the full booking fee. No credit or refund will be issued. This policy exists because your time slot was held exclusively, turning away other customers.
No-Shows — No Credit
Clients who fail to make their pet available for a confirmed booking without prior notice are treated as a late cancellation. The full booking fee is forfeited with no credit issued.
Happy Tails Pet Care reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to severe weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full account credit will be issued.
4. Account Credits
Credits are issued to your Happy Tails account when you cancel a booking with more than 24 hours notice.
Credits Never Expire
Your account credits remain available indefinitely. Use them whenever you're ready to book again.
Auto-Applied at Checkout
Credits are automatically applied as a discount when you book your next service. No code needed.
Non-Transferable
Credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to another customer.
Non-Refundable
Credits cannot be converted to cash, refunded, or redeemed for anything other than Happy Tails services.
5. Service Areas & Distance Surcharges
Happy Tails Pet Care operates from Klein/Spring, TX. A distance-based surcharge may apply depending on how far your address is from our service base.

| Zone D | 15+ miles | $20.00 + $3.00/mile over 15 |
Your zone is calculated automatically when you enter your address during booking. The surcharge is added as a separate line item at checkout. Your address and zone are saved so future bookings automatically apply the correct surcharge.
6. Pet Requirements
To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, we require the following:
vaccines Vaccinations
All pets must have current vaccinations as recommended by their veterinarian. Dogs must be up to date on rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Proof of vaccination is required at the time of your first booking.
psychology Behavioral Assessment
Pets with a history of aggression, biting, or reactive behavior may require a behavioral assessment before services can be provided. We reserve the right to decline service for any pet we determine poses a safety risk.
medical_information Health Disclosure
Clients must disclose all known health conditions, allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, and special needs at the time of booking. Changes to your pet's health status should be communicated before any scheduled service.
emergency Emergency Contact
You must provide your veterinarian's contact information and an emergency contact number. In the event of a medical emergency, Happy Tails Pet Care will make reasonable efforts to contact you before seeking veterinary care.
7. Liability & Limitation
Happy Tails Pet Care is fully insured and bonded. Our general liability insurance covers incidents that may occur during the provision of our services.
Limitation of Liability: Happy Tails Pet Care's total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for:
- Pre-existing medical conditions or health complications not disclosed by the pet owner
- Injury or damage caused by a pet's aggressive or unpredictable behavior not previously reported
- Loss or damage to personal property left accessible during in-home visits
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or events beyond our reasonable control
Pet Owner Responsibility: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding your pet's health, temperament, medications, and any special needs. Failure to disclose relevant information may limit our liability.
8. Membership Terms
Happy Tails Plus is our optional monthly membership program designed to provide added value for our regular clients.

Plus Family — $29/month
- check All Plus benefits for multi-pet households
- check Covers your entire fur family
Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No partial-month refunds.
Benefits: Membership benefits apply only to bookings made while your membership is active. Benefits do not apply retroactively.
9. Dispute Resolution
We believe in resolving disagreements fairly and amicably.
Good Faith Resolution
Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute through direct communication. Contact us at [email protected].
Mediation Before Litigation
If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, both parties agree to engage in good faith mediation before pursuing legal action. Mediation costs shall be shared equally.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Harris County, Texas.
10. SMS Messaging Terms
When you opt in to text messages from Happy Tails Pet Care ("Happy Tails"), you agree to receive SMS/MMS messages at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include meet & greet follow-ups, booking confirmations, visit reminders, review requests, rebooking reminders, account/service notifications, and occasional Happy Tails service updates.

- Message frequency varies based on your bookings and account activity.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to all messages sent and received.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Happy Tails text. You will receive a confirmation, and we will not send further automated messages.
- Help: Reply HELP to any Happy Tails text, or contact Lorena at (832) 953-3493.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use Happy Tails services without enrolling in SMS.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Eligibility: SMS is available to U.S. mobile subscribers only. You must be at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian's permission to enroll.
- Privacy: See our Privacy Policy for how we handle phone numbers and consent records. Happy Tails does not sell or share your phone number for third-party marketing.

11. Changes & Contact
Happy Tails Pet Care reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active clients. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
