Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Happy Tails Pet Care services. By booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Service Agreement
Welcome to Happy Tails Pet Care, a professional pet care service operated by Lorena Iglesias in Klein, Texas. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including but not limited to dog walking, pet sitting, overnight stays, grooming coordination, and related pet care offerings.
By scheduling, booking, or otherwise engaging our services, you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
Happy Tails Pet Care reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active clients of material changes via email or through our booking platform. Continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Booking & Cancellation Policy
All bookings are confirmed once payment is processed and a confirmation email or notification is sent. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons and holidays.
Free Cancellation (24+ Hours)
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled service for a full refund, no questions asked.
Late Cancellation (Under 24 Hours)
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service may incur a fee of up to 50% of the booked service cost. We understand emergencies happen and will always work with you on a case-by-case basis.
No-Shows
Clients who fail to show or make their pet available for a confirmed booking without prior notice will be charged the full service amount.
Happy Tails Pet Care reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to severe weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will provide a full refund or reschedule at no additional cost.
3. Liability & Insurance
Happy Tails Pet Care is fully insured and bonded for your peace of mind. Our general liability insurance covers incidents that may occur during the provision of our services.
However, our liability is limited to the scope of services rendered. Happy Tails Pet Care shall not be held liable for:
- Pre-existing medical conditions or health complications not disclosed by the pet owner
- Injury or damage caused by a pet's aggressive, anxious, or unpredictable behavior not previously reported
- Loss or damage to personal property left accessible during in-home visits
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or events beyond our reasonable control
Pet Owner Responsibility: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding your pet's health, temperament, medications, and any special needs. Failure to disclose relevant information may limit our liability and could result in service termination.
4. Pet Requirements
To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, we require the following:
vaccines Vaccinations
All pets must have current vaccinations as recommended by their veterinarian. Dogs must be up to date on rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Cats must be current on rabies and FVRCP. Proof of vaccination is required at the time of your first booking.
psychology Behavioral Assessment
Pets with a history of aggression, biting, or reactive behavior may require a behavioral assessment before services can be provided. We reserve the right to decline service for any pet we determine poses a safety risk to our team or other animals.
medical_information Health Disclosure
Clients must disclose all known health conditions, allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, and special needs at the time of booking. Changes to your pet's health status should be communicated before any scheduled service.
emergency Emergency Contact
You must provide your veterinarian's contact information and an emergency contact number. In the event of a medical emergency, Happy Tails Pet Care will make reasonable efforts to contact you before seeking veterinary care, but may act in your pet's best interest if you are unreachable.
5. Service Areas & Zones
Happy Tails Pet Care operates from Klein, TX and serves the surrounding communities. Travel fees are determined by the distance from our base location and are applied as follows:

| Zone C | 6 – 9 miles | +$10.00 |
| Zone D | 9+ miles | +$20.00 |
Travel fees are calculated based on the driving distance from our base in Klein, TX to your location. Zones are subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Service availability may be limited in Zone D areas.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged. By completing a booking, you authorize Happy Tails Pet Care to charge your selected payment method for the total service cost, including any applicable travel fees or surcharges.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and bank transfers through our secure booking platform.
Refund Policy
Refunds for eligible cancellations (see Section 2) will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. Refunds for services already rendered will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Happy Tails Pet Care.
Late Payment
If a payment fails or is declined, we will attempt to notify you and resolve the issue. Services may be suspended until payment is received. Accounts with outstanding balances exceeding 30 days may be subject to a late fee of $15 or referred to collections.
7. Membership Terms
Happy Tails Plus is our optional monthly membership program designed to provide added value for our regular clients.
Happy Tails Plus — $19/month

- check Free Zone B travel (normally +$5)
- check Exclusive member-only promotions
- check Extended cancellation window (48 hours)
Cancellation: You may cancel your Happy Tails Plus membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. There are no cancellation fees or long-term commitments.
Benefits: Membership benefits apply to all future bookings made while your membership is active. Benefits do not apply retroactively to past bookings.
Partial Months: No refunds are provided for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will continue to enjoy membership benefits until the end of your current billing period.
8. Dispute Resolution
We believe in resolving disagreements fairly and amicably. If a dispute arises regarding our services, we encourage you to reach out directly so we can work toward a solution together.
Good Faith Resolution
In the event of any dispute, claim, or disagreement arising from or relating to these Terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith through direct communication. Please contact us at our Klein, TX office or via our website's contact form.
Mediation Before Litigation
If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication within 30 days, both parties agree to engage in good faith mediation before pursuing any legal action. Mediation costs shall be shared equally between the parties unless otherwise agreed upon.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be conducted in the courts of Harris County, Texas, with jurisdiction in Klein, TX.
